Life is not always about sunshine and rainbows. It is full of surprises that most of them will get out of your expectations. The most successful people have long failure trends before they could travel their success. Walt Disney, the creator of Mickey Mouse- he was fired from a newspaper cause he lacked imagination and he had no original ideas. Things will not always walk in your way. You will get stumbled, you will get pushed and you will get knocked down. You have to prepare yourself from every disappointment, and discouragement cause that’s what living is. Living is to be able to see the beauty through life. Having a heart of Nelson Mandela, the courage of Christopher Columbus, the confidence of Will Smith and your will to pursue – to live.
Imagine being born without limbs. You wouldn’t be able to wrap your arms around a friend, no fingers to experience touch, no way to lift or hold things. How much difficult life would be if you were born without arms or limbs? How about legs? Imagine instead of having no arms and hands you still had no legs. No ability to dance, walk, run or even stand. Now put those scenarios together, no arms no legs. What life would be? Australian Nick Vujicic came into life without arms and legs. Just to make you understand the difference between life and living. Nick likes and he actually go swimming, play golf, fishing, dancing and travelling around the world. He has attained his university degrees just like everybody who did. Adding to that Nick is currently a CEO of a Non profit Organisation named Life without Limbs. He is a remarkable inspirational speaker.
I really adore most of the words of wisdom, like the one saying ” Life is full of choices”. We choose to do almost everything in the way we desire. We choose to be honest or to lie. We choose to start right and end left. We choose to be happy or to be sad. We choose to forgive and some let go. These choices matters. What happens is that when we make these choices we certainly ignore what life really is.
What choice would you make if you were Nick? Tell yourself you cannot do it? You not worth it? You are not blessed? Or you would just say “I’m hurt, can’t take it anymore?” That’s life. Living is to be able to fight the negativity that challenges you from accepting the ability and beauty in you and in others. It does not mean that the today’s successful people including Nick did not go through failures, disappointments and to the point of wanting to give up. It is because they understood that success means one getting up one more step forward, simply attained by being able to do things that others are not willing to do.
Life can only be defined as beautiful when you truly start living. Starting to understand that things will turn out worse before they can come up good. Starting to see the little success out of every failure. Smile out of every disappointment. Courage out of every judgement. Living is about looking positively at every inch that matters in around you, the love, legacy, health, teamwork, family, hard working, prayers, learning, persistence, royalty, discipline and mostly forgiving yourself.
Life is Mean, Living is Beautiful.
